CES Speakers Bureau

As part of its mission to prepare a new generation of Americans to better understand the complexities and opportunities presented by a New Europe, CES sponsors a Speakers Bureau for the classroom and community.

Many of the university scholars affiliated with CES are eager to share their knowledge and experience with schools, libraries, and community groups around Wisconsin.

Previous topics have included:

  • Pop culture in Germany
  • Music in the German-speaking lands
  • The history of Spain
  • The expansion of the European Union
  • The stories of Hans Christian Andersen
  • Traveling in Europe—how to make it work

If you would like to invite a CES Speaker to address your group, we ask that you allow 3-4 weeks for planning and scheduling.

For more information on this program, or to volunteer as a speaker, please contact the Outreach Coordinator, or call the Center for European Studies (265-6298).
