The European Studies Program was established in 1968 and is designed to provide integrated interdisciplinary studies on contemporary Europe for both undergraduate and graduate students. The UW-Madison has experienced a groundswell of interest among undergraduate and graduate students in matters European. Over seven hundred UW students study abroad in Europe each year. To help students better demonstrate their knowledge of Europe, CES offers certificates and a Ph.D. minor in European Studies. These awards appear on a student's final transcript afeter completion of a variety of courses focusing on Europe. Information for Undergraduates:
